providing cash handling services, guarding services, alarm installation
and management, security consulting and investigations. We have
some 230,000 employees across more than 30 countries, with revenues
exceeding $6 billion in 2001. Through Securitas Cash Management,
a joint venture with Barclays Bank and HSBC, Securitas controls
more than 40% of the cash in circulation in the UK.
Securitas acquired the whole shareholding of SMR in February
2000. This has allowed the organisation to develop a broad and successful
"cradle-to-grave" ATM capability, whilst supporting and
enhancing the established IT activities of SMR.
