It is of course important that our Project Managers employ an effective
methodology. From our experience we have developed our own methodology,
particularly suited to rollout, deployment and IMAC projects. This
methodology has evolved over several years, and whilst it has many
of the features of some of the better-known PM methodologies, it
generally adopts a less cumbersome approach, allowing greater flexibility,
whilst retaining tight planning, measurement, control and reporting.
We have found that this works particularly well for our clients,
and it also dovetails with our quality procedures and the bespoke
software used to drive our business.
Generally, we would ask that you involve us as early as possible
in any opportunity, allowing us to bring our experience to the table
and thereby enabling us to help you to be successful in winning
business. The tendering process is examined in detail here,
but we find that this tends to be an iterative process, particularly
on larger projects and we are very pleased to work through this
process with our clients.
For any significant project, we would hold a Project Definition
Workshop (PDW), where we would work with you to fully understand
and document the scope of the project. From this exercise, we would
issue our proposal, and move forward to the solution design stage.
We would then move onto contract review, and finally to a managed,
accountable delivery. The management and assessment of risk remains
critical throughout this process.
