SMR is particularly well suited to operate exchange unit
collection and repair services, a good example being in the retail
sector; where EPoS tills tend to a modular design, having a number
of distinct components making up the total unit.
Where one of these components fails, the lack of a functioning
till is something that can have serious consequences for the retailer,
necessitating a rapid response. It is generally not practical to
start maintaining these components on site - there is neither the
space nor the time. The best solution is to get a functioning component
on site in order that the till can start to be used again - the
failed component can then be brought back to our Warwick facility
and repaired, or managed out to a third party maintainer. SMR
would be pleased to work with you to manage your inventory and your
maintainer in this way.
SMR offer a fast-track service allowing the replacement
item either to be shipped out by courier or sent with an Engineer,
who will perform the exchange and bring the faulty item back to
our configuration facility.
