Experience has shown that deploying post implementation support
will lead to far greater end-user satisfaction. For that reason,
we would always recommend that it is included in rollout and deployment
projects of any significant size.
The basic idea of post implementation support is twofold - by providing
senior Engineers (known as "Floorwalkers") locally for
a period after the installation of a new platform, any user issues
can be quickly addressed. This leads to a better user experience,
and also reduces the potential increase in calls to the IT helpdesk,
again driving down costs and increasing satisfaction.
Generally post implementation support will operate for one or two
days after the installation, but we would be happy to work with
you to offer a full helpdesk
solution.
