SMR has many years experience in system collation, bringing
together components from various manufacturers to complete a site-specific
build. For example, EPoS tills may be built from a number of different
hardware components received in individual shipments from a variety
of manufacturers. In this example, we will collate not only the
components required to build an EPoS till, but also all of the tills,
servers and other equipment required for the successful build and
installation of a complete store. This allows for entire sites to
be built and tested before being transported, thus minimising the
risk of downtime once on site.
We have highlighted this as a distinct section of our IT engineering
model, as we believe that the way in which we track and manage equipment
